Specialty Products
There are some products that combine the strength of
plywood and the durability of thermally-fused cabinet liners. This is
done by using a masonite-type material for the outer-most layer of the
plywood.
The Masonite® material most cabinet makers are familiar
with is the material that has is very smooth allowing for the best
cabinet-liner to be applied and the strength that the lamination of
different layers of materials creates. However, since this is a specialty
product it is more expensive and not as readily available.
Masonite® is a registered trade-name and used to
identify the Masonite® International Corporation now making a variety of
products to include entry doors. |
